Each product is based on an item I made for my children when they were younger. My children attended day care while I worked and now in school they wear uniforms. There are so many ways that our kids are asked to conform to the world around them. These items were small ways they can highlight their individuality without being a distraction. Items will continue to be added to the collection as they inspire me to create new items to help them express themselves. Utilizing the most amazing cotton prints, each item allows for the largest fabric surface area so the prints can be enjoyed as the designer had originally envisioned. I have been in the apparel industry for 15 years and have learned from the ground up how to take a product from concept to market. This knowledge combined with the birth of my 2 children is how One Bird Alley was born. I am taking this opportunity to not only create a product line but also document the process on my blog. Starting a company is no easy task and requires dedication. Do I have what it takes? I would like to think so.
